San Diego, CA
December 18, 2008
Avaak, the industry leader in easy-to-use, wire-free personal video networking technology, today announced that CONNECT, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting technology and life science businesses in San Diego, has named it’s revolutionary VueTM Personal Video Network as one of the Most Innovative New Products (MIP) of 2008.
“The CONNECT MIP awards are the local ‘Oscars’ for technology innovation and they recognize companies who are bringing to market, new innovative technologies,” said Camille Sobrian, COO of CONNECT. “Our judges were impressed with Avaak’s Vue Personal Video Network. The product’s ease of use, functionality, and ability to change how individuals view their lives made it a true innovative leap forward into new generation technology, well-deserving of this honor.”
The MIP Awards are selected from more than 100 entries representing a broad range of local companies. The awards program has been an indicator of the industries and technologies that have stimulated the San Diego economy, from early stage biotechnology companies to the first products generated by the region at the cutting-edge of technology.
“We are extremely pleased to receive CONNECT’s 2008 MIP award,” said Gioia Messinger, founder and CEO of Avaak. “This award is truly a testament to Avaak’s ability to develop a truly innovative product that will change how consumers connect to their lives on a daily basis.”
Slated to launch in early 2009, the Vue Personal Video Network allows consumers to view their home, business or backyard from anywhere at any time.
